Lovable Pricing, Lovable Cost and Lovable AI Pricing Per Credit

Lovable does not charge per seat. Every plan allows unlimited workspace members, and what you pay for is a monthly pool of credits that the whole team spends on building, chatting, hosting and in-app AI. So the useful question is how many credits your team burns and what each one costs on the plan you pick. This page prices every Lovable tier, top-up and grant from Lovable's own pricing page and billing docs, with the per-credit and per-team math they leave out.

In short

Lovable has four plans. Free costs $0 and gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month. Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits and scales in tiers to $2,250 for 10,000 credits. Business starts at $50 a month for 100 credits, up to $4,300 for 10,000, and adds SSO, role-based access and training opt-out by default. Enterprise is custom priced. Annual billing costs 10 times the monthly price, so two months are free. Every plan allows unlimited members, and extra credits cost $0.30 each on Pro and $0.60 on Business.

The challenge

Most Lovable pricing articles list the $25 and $50 entry prices and stop there. That leaves out the numbers that decide the bill. A Business credit costs twice what a Pro credit costs when you spend it on building, so the Business premium grows with every tier, from $25 a month at 100 credits to $2,050 at 10,000. Top-ups cost 20% more per credit than the base Pro tier. Monthly-plan credits expire two months after they are issued. And when the balance hits zero, AI features in apps you already shipped stop working and their backend pauses. Pick the wrong tier and you either stall mid-build or pay a premium for governance you do not use.

How AgentMarketplace handles it

Price Lovable the way it meters. Start the team on the Pro tier closest to its first month of real use, turn on auto top-up with a monthly spend limit, and read Usage details after two weeks, split into Build credits and Run credits. If top-ups are running above a tier step, move up a tier, because tier credits are cheaper than top-ups. Move to Business only when you need SSO, role-based access, the API or internal publishing, and budget for the doubled cost of build credits when you do. For recurring operational work your team was planning to build as an internal app, compare the cost of a ready-made agent at a flat monthly price before spending credits on it.

How much does Lovable cost?

Lovable costs $25 a month on Pro and $50 a month on Business at the entry tier of 100 monthly credits. Billed annually, those become $250 and $500 a year, which works out to $21 and $42 a month because an annual plan costs 10 times the monthly price. Free is $0 and Enterprise is quoted by sales. Lovable adds sales tax where it applies.

Both paid plans are sold in credit tiers, from 100 to 10,000 credits a month, and you can change tier inside the same plan at any time. When you upgrade mid-cycle you receive only the difference: moving from 100 to 200 credits adds 100 credits, not 200. There is no seat price anywhere. A 3-person team and a 40-person team on the same tier pay the same amount and share one credit balance, and admins can set per-member monthly credit limits so one heavy user cannot drain the pool.

Lovable Pro pricing by tier and price per credit

Pro is the plan most small teams buy. Every Pro tier has the same features: custom domains, code editing and download, removing the "Edit with Lovable" badge, user roles, design systems, credit rollover and email support. The only thing that changes is the size of the monthly credit pool. These are the tiers listed in Lovable's subscription docs on September 30, 2026, with the price per credit we calculated from them:

Monthly creditsMonthly billingPrice per creditAnnual billingPrice per credit, annual
100$25$0.250$250 a year$0.208
200$50$0.250$500 a year$0.208
400$100$0.250$1,000 a year$0.208
800$200$0.250$2,000 a year$0.208
1,200$294$0.245$2,940 a year$0.204
2,000$480$0.240$4,800 a year$0.200
3,000$705$0.235$7,050 a year$0.196
4,000$920$0.230$9,200 a year$0.192
5,000$1,125$0.225$11,250 a year$0.188
7,500$1,688$0.225$16,880 a year$0.188
10,000$2,250$0.225$22,500 a year$0.188

Two things stand out. The volume discount is small: the biggest tier is only 10% cheaper per credit than the smallest. Annual billing is worth far more, a flat 16.7% off at every tier. So a team that knows it will use Lovable all year saves more by paying annually on a small tier than by jumping to a big monthly tier.

Lovable Business pricing and what the premium buys

Lovable Business costs $50 a month for 100 credits and runs to $4,300 a month for 10,000. On top of everything in Pro, it adds single sign-on, role-based access, design templates, personal projects inside a shared workspace, internal publishing that only logged-in members can open, password and expiry settings on preview links, the Lovable API, a security center, commit attribution, priority support, and workspace data excluded from AI model training by default. On Pro, training opt-out is a per-account setting.

The premium is not a flat fee. Business credits cost twice as much as Pro credits at the same tier, so the gap grows as you scale:

Monthly creditsPro, monthlyBusiness, monthlyBusiness premium per monthPremium per year, monthly billing
100$25$50$25$300
400$100$200$100$1,200
800$200$400$200$2,400
2,000$480$960$480$5,760
5,000$1,125$2,250$1,125$13,500
10,000$2,250$4,300$2,050$24,600

There is one nuance in Lovable's docs that softens this. Hosting (Cloud) and in-app AI usage are charged in dollar value, and a Business credit is worth $0.50 against $0.25 for a Pro credit, so the same hosting bill deducts half as many Business credits. The doubling applies to build and chat work, not to run costs. For a team that mostly builds, the table above is the real premium. For a team whose credits go mostly to hosting a busy app, the gap is smaller than it looks.

Our read: if SSO is a hard requirement from your security team, Business at a low tier is a reasonable price for it. If you need heavy build volume and SSO together, get an Enterprise quote before committing to a large Business tier, because at 10,000 credits you are paying about $24,600 a year for the governance features alone.

How do Lovable credits work?

A Lovable credit is one unit of usage across the workspace. Credits pay for five things: build work (Plan mode and Build mode messages, plus images and videos Lovable generates), chat messages, hosting and the built-in backend called Cloud, AI features your deployed app calls, and some connectors Lovable manages for you. Lovable always spends usage-specific grants first, then the general credits closest to expiry.

What a message costs depends on the mode. A Plan mode message costs 1 credit plus any research it runs. Build mode is billed on the work done, and Lovable publishes these illustrative examples: making a button gray used 0.50 credits, removing a footer 0.90, adding authentication 1.20, and building a landing page with generated images 2.00. So 100 credits buys somewhere around 50 to 200 edits of that size. Long runs pause for a check-in every 20 credits by default, and one message can keep working for up to 10 hours, so long autonomous runs are where budgets break.

The grants that come with every plan matter more than most pricing pages admit:

  • Daily build credits. 5 a day on every plan. On Free they stop after 30 a month. On Pro and Business there is no monthly cap, so a workspace that builds every day gets up to about 150 extra build credits a month, more than the whole 100-credit tier.
  • Daily chat allowance. Chat messages are priced per message and covered first by a daily allowance that is larger on paid plans. Lovable says this chat pricing is a temporary offer that applies through October 31, 2026.
  • Monthly Cloud and AI grants. 20 credits for hosting and 4 credits for in-app AI each month on Free, Pro and Business. Lovable calls these a temporary offering.

Enterprise workspaces get none of these grants. Every chat message and every build credit comes out of the contracted balance from day one, which is worth modeling before you compare an Enterprise quote with a Business tier.

Do Lovable credits roll over or expire?

Yes, unused monthly credits roll over on Pro and Business, but they still expire. On monthly billing, plan credits expire 2 months after they are issued, so in practice you can carry one month of unused credits forward. On annual billing, credits are still issued monthly but they do not expire until 1 month after the annual term ends, which lets a team bank credits across the whole year and absorb a heavy launch month. Top-up credits last 12 months from purchase. Daily grants expire at the end of the day, and the monthly Cloud and AI grants expire at the end of the billing cycle.

If you cancel, you keep using your credits until the end of the current billing period, then the workspace drops to Free. Unused paid credits reactivate if you subscribe again before they expire. Lovable does not refund credits.

What a team really pays for Lovable

Because Lovable has no seat price, team cost depends only on credit burn. Here is what three typical US teams would pay, using the edit costs Lovable publishes and assuming daily build credits cover light days. These are our estimates, not Lovable quotes:

TeamLikely monthly burnPro, monthlyPro, annual (per month)Business, monthly
Founder plus 2, one internal tool, a few edits a dayAbout 200 credits$50$42$100
Product team of 8 shipping two customer appsAbout 800 credits$200$167$400
Agency of 25 building client apps all monthAbout 3,000 credits$705$588$1,410

The agency row shows why top-ups deserve attention. If the 25-person agency sat on the 2,000 tier and topped up the missing 1,000 credits at $0.30, it would pay $480 plus $300, or $780, against $705 for the 3,000 tier. Top-ups are the right tool for a one-off spike and the wrong one for a steady shortfall. Lovable's own docs say the same.

If you are comparing Lovable with Replit for the same team, our Replit vs Lovable pricing breakdown prices both at 3, 10 and 25 people, and the Replit pricing page covers Replit's Pro tiers and hosting rates in the same format.

What happens when you run out of Lovable credits?

When the workspace balance hits zero, building stops behind a blocking dialog and any message in progress pauses until you add credits or tell Lovable to wrap up. Chat keeps working while the daily chat allowance lasts. The bigger risk is for apps you already published: pages keep serving, but AI features inside those apps stop working, and apps that use the built-in backend for the database, storage or authentication pause shortly after. The data is kept, but you cannot reach or export it until the services run again.

For any app that customers use, that is a reason to turn on auto top-up with a monthly spend limit and a trigger of 50 or 100 credits, which is what Lovable itself recommends for busier apps. It is also a reason to keep production workloads that must never stop off a shared build budget.

When a ready-made AI agent costs less than building one in Lovable

A lot of Lovable credits go into internal tools that automate a recurring job: a lead enrichment screen, a support triage app, an invoice intake form with an AI step. Building that is quick in Lovable. Running it is where the meter keeps going, because hosting, the backend and every in-app AI call draw from the same credits your team uses to build.

If the job already exists as a product, a ready-made agent is usually the cheaper path. Agents on AgentMarketplace start at $49 a month flat, connect to the tools you already use with permissions you can revoke, and do not bill per run. Browse the agent catalog by the job before you spend a month of credits building your own version, and keep Lovable for the product you are actually selling. Frequently asked

Your questions about Lovable pricing

How much does Lovable cost per month?

Lovable Pro costs $25 a month for 100 credits and Business costs $50 a month for 100 credits. Both scale in tiers up to 10,000 credits a month, which costs $2,250 on Pro and $4,300 on Business. Annual billing costs 10 times the monthly price, so Pro is $250 a year and Business $500 a year at the entry tier. Free is $0 and Enterprise is custom.

Is Lovable free?

Lovable has a Free plan with unlimited members, private projects and Git sync, plus 5 daily build credits capped at 30 a month and small monthly Cloud and AI grants. It does not include custom domains, code editing, code download, top-ups or credit rollover, and published apps carry the "Edit with Lovable" badge. For work you plan to sell or run for customers, Free is a trial, not a plan.

How much is one Lovable credit?

A Lovable credit costs $0.25 on the monthly Pro tiers from 100 to 800 credits, falling to $0.225 at 5,000 credits and above. Business credits cost $0.50, falling to $0.43 at 10,000. Annual billing cuts every rate by a sixth, to about $0.21 on the entry Pro tier. Top-up credits cost $0.30 on Pro and $0.60 on Business.

Does Lovable charge per user?

No. Every Lovable plan, including Free, allows unlimited workspace members, and the price depends only on the monthly credit tier. The whole team draws from one shared balance. Workspace admins on Pro, Business and Enterprise can set per-member monthly credit limits to stop one person from using most of the pool.

What is the difference between Lovable Pro and Business?

Business adds SSO, role-based access, the Lovable API, internal publishing, design templates, personal projects, preview link passwords, a security center, priority support and training opt-out by default. It costs twice as much per credit for building, so the premium grows from $25 a month at 100 credits to $2,050 a month at 10,000 credits.

Do Lovable credits roll over?

Yes, on Pro and Business. On monthly billing, plan credits expire two months after they are issued, so one month of unused credits carries forward. On annual billing, credits stay valid until one month after the annual term ends. Top-up credits last 12 months. Daily build credits and the daily chat allowance never roll over.

How much do Lovable top-ups cost?

Top-ups cost $15 per 50 credits on Pro ($0.30 each) and $30 per 50 credits on Business ($0.60 each), and they last 12 months. That is 20% more per credit than the entry Pro tier, so if your team tops up every month it is cheaper to move up a tier. Free workspaces cannot buy top-ups.

Does Lovable have a student discount?

Yes. Verified students and teachers get 50% off the Pro plan with 100 credits, billed monthly, for up to 12 months. Lovable checks the email domain against a list of academic institutions, the offer is available only to workspaces on Free, each person can use it once, and it does not apply to annual billing or higher tiers.

Is Lovable cheaper than Replit?

At entry level they are close. Lovable Pro is $25 a month for 100 credits and Replit Core is $20 a month with $20 of credits returned. Neither charges per seat. Lovable becomes the cheaper choice for large non-technical teams because it has no member cap, while Replit Pro caps builders at 15. Our Replit vs Lovable pricing comparison runs both at 3, 10 and 25 people.
