Base44 Pricing and Base44 Cost Across All Base44 Plans

Base44 sells a workspace, not seats. Each plan is a monthly pool of two kinds of credits: message credits your team spends talking to the AI builder, and integration credits your live apps spend every time they send an email, call an LLM or run an in-app agent. The second pool is the one that surprises buyers. This page prices every Base44 plan from Base44's own pricing page and billing docs, read on October 1, 2026, with the per-credit and per-app math they leave out.

In short

Base44 has five plans. Free costs $0 for 25 message credits and 100 integration credits a month. Starter is $16 a month billed annually ($20 monthly) for 100 message and 2,000 integration credits. Builder is $40 ($50) for 250 and 10,000. Pro is $80 ($100) for 500 and 20,000. Elite is $160 ($200) for 1,200 and 50,000. Enterprise is custom. There is no per-seat fee, credits do not roll over, and SSO is Enterprise only.

The challenge

Most Base44 pricing articles stop at the $16 entry price. That leaves out the two numbers that decide the bill. First, message credits cost the same $0.16 each on Starter, Builder and Pro, so moving up a plan buys features and integration credits, not cheaper building. Second, a published app spends integration credits every time it runs, and the AI model you pick changes that cost by up to 15 times per call. When the pool runs dry, features that use credits pause until the monthly reset, and that includes the emails and AI steps inside apps your customers already use.

How AgentMarketplace handles it

Price Base44 the way it meters. Estimate the build work in message credits (Base44 publishes about 0.5 for a small text change and 3 to 4 for an app-wide change), then estimate what each live app does in a month: emails, uploads, LLM calls, agent messages and workflow steps. Pick the plan whose integration pool covers the busiest month, keep in-app AI on the Automatic model unless a task needs more, and pay annually once the app has a stable workload, because annual billing is 20% cheaper on every plan. For recurring operational jobs, compare a ready-made agent at a flat monthly price before building and hosting your own.

How much does Base44 cost?

Base44 costs $16 a month on Starter, $40 on Builder, $80 on Pro and $160 on Elite when billed annually. Billed month to month, the same plans cost $20, $50, $100 and $200. Base44 calculates the annual price as 12 months at the monthly rate minus 20%, charged once a year, so Starter is $192 a year and Elite is $1,920. Free is $0 and Enterprise is quoted by sales.

Base44 has been owned by Wix since June 2025, and its pricing page lists cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) for self-serve plans, with invoice or ACH payment for Enterprise. Third-party services you connect with your own account, such as Stripe, SendGrid or OpenAI, bill you directly on their own pricing.

PlanMonthly billing, per yearAnnual billing, per yearSaved by paying annually
Starter$240$192$48
Builder$600$480$120
Pro$1,200$960$240
Elite$2,400$1,920$480

Annual billing on Builder and above also adds two small extras the monthly plans do not get: a free domain for one year and 25 credits to share with a friend.

Base44 price per credit by plan

Base44 does not publish a price per credit, but it falls straight out of the plan table. We divided each plan's price by its monthly credit allowance:

PlanPer message credit, annualPer message credit, monthlyPer 1,000 integration credits, annualPer 1,000 integration credits, monthly
Starter$0.160$0.200$8.00$10.00
Builder$0.160$0.200$4.00$5.00
Pro$0.160$0.200$4.00$5.00
Elite$0.133$0.167$3.20$4.00

The table shows something most reviews miss. Building costs exactly the same per credit on Starter, Builder and Pro. The only volume discount on message credits is Elite, about 17% cheaper. What changes between Starter and Builder is the integration pool: Builder gives five times the integration credits for two and a half times the price, which halves the cost of running an app. So the upgrade from Starter to Builder is really a decision about how busy your published apps are, plus backend functions and GitHub sync, not about how much you build.

Because one plan covers both pools, the per-credit figures above split the same dollar two ways. Treat them as a way to compare plans, not as two separate bills.

How do Base44 credits work?

Base44 uses two kinds of credits, and both come out of one workspace pool that everyone you invite shares.

Message credits pay for prompts to the AI builder that plan, change or fix your app. There is no fixed cost per message. Base44's docs give these typical ranges: about 0.5 credits for a simple visual or text change, about 1 for improving a small feature, about 2 for adding a complex module, and about 3 to 4 for a large app-wide change. Discuss mode, where you plan without changing the app, costs about 0.3 credits a message, and manual visual edits in the editor cost nothing. So 100 message credits buys roughly 30 to 200 changes, depending on their size.

Integration credits pay for Base44's built-in services when your app runs. These are the published examples, which Base44 describes as estimates:

Action in a live appTypical integration credits
Send an email from the default domainAbout 1 per email
Send an email from your own domainAbout 2 per email
Upload a file, or extract data from itAbout 1 per call
Generate an imageAbout 1 per image
Generate a videoAbout 5 per second of video
LLM call, Automatic modelAbout 1 per call
LLM call, Gemini 3 FlashAbout 5 per call
LLM call, GPT-5.4About 15 per call
Message to an in-app agent, Automatic modelAbout 3 and up per message
Workflow stepsAbout 1 per 10 steps, plus whatever each step does
Backend function invocationsAbout 1 per 100, plus whatever the function does

Calling an outside service with your own API key does not use integration credits. That is the main lever for keeping a busy app on a smaller plan: route heavy LLM work through your own OpenAI or Anthropic key and pay the provider directly.

What a Base44 app costs to run each month

Build cost is a one-off spike. Run cost repeats every month for as long as the app is live, so it usually decides the plan. Here are three common US business apps priced with Base44's published credit estimates. These are our estimates, not Base44 quotes:

App and monthly volumeIntegration credits a monthSmallest plan that covers it
Client portal sending 1,500 notification emails from your own domainAbout 3,000Builder ($40 annual)
Support assistant answering 2,000 questions with an in-app agent on AutomaticAbout 6,000 and upBuilder ($40 annual)
Invoice intake handling 3,000 uploads with extraction and one LLM check each, Automatic modelAbout 9,000Builder ($40 annual)
The same invoice intake with the LLM check on Gemini 3 FlashAbout 21,000Elite ($160 annual)
The same invoice intake with the LLM check on GPT-5.4About 51,000Over Elite, Enterprise quote

The last three rows are the same app. Changing one model setting moves it from a $40 plan to a $160 plan to an Enterprise conversation. That is the single most important thing to check before you buy: which model your in-app AI runs on, and whether it can use your own API key instead.

Is Base44 free?

Base44 has a Free plan with 25 message credits and 100 integration credits a month, capped at 5 message credits a day, and a limit of 5 apps. It includes the core builder, authentication, the database and analytics. It does not include a custom domain, in-app code edits or removal of the Base44 badge, and 100 integration credits covers about 100 emails a month. For an app your customers or staff depend on, Free is a test drive, not a plan.

Do Base44 credits roll over?

No. On paid plans, message and integration credits reset once a month on the day you subscribed, and anything unused expires at the reset. That is true on annual plans too: you pay once a year but receive credits monthly. Bonus credits and top-up credits never carry over either.

There is one exception. If you move from a monthly plan to a higher monthly plan mid-cycle, you pay the full price difference and your unused credits carry over for one more cycle, up to one month of your old plan's credits. Any upgrade that involves a yearly plan is prorated instead, and unused credits expire at the next reset as usual. Switching from monthly to yearly billing does not give you a fresh set of credits mid-month.

Compare that with Lovable, where monthly plan credits stay valid for two months and annual plan credits last the whole term. If your usage is lumpy, with a heavy launch month and quiet months after, Base44's use-it-or-lose-it reset costs more than the list price suggests. Our Lovable pricing guide has the full rollover rules for comparison.

What happens when you run out of Base44 credits?

When the workspace hits its credit limit, every action that uses credits pauses until the next monthly reset. For building, that means the AI chat stops. For a published app, it means the built-in services stop too: emails, file uploads, LLM calls, in-app agents and workflows that draw on integration credits. On Free, hitting the 5-credit daily cap pauses those features until midnight.

The published way out is to upgrade, which takes effect as soon as you pay and adds the new plan's extra credits right away. For any app that customers use, watch the Credit usage page in workspace settings, which breaks spending down by app and by source, and size the plan for your busiest month rather than your average one.

What a team really pays for Base44

Base44 has no seat price. Everyone you invite shares the workspace plan and credits and does not need a paid plan of their own. Editors use credits when they build, and Viewers do not use any. So team cost depends on two things: how much the team builds and how busy the published apps are. Three typical US teams, priced at list:

TeamLikely monthly usePlanAnnual billingMonthly billing
Founder building one MVP, light trafficAbout 100 message, under 2,000 integrationStarter$16$20
Ops team of 5 running two internal tools with email and AI stepsAbout 250 message, about 8,000 integrationBuilder$40$50
Agency of 10 building and hosting client appsAbout 1,000 message, about 40,000 integrationElite$160$200

The catch for larger teams is governance, not price. On self-serve plans every workspace has one owner, the Admin role is locked, and there is no way to cap how many credits one member spends. Per-member credit limits, SSO, SCIM provisioning, IP allowlists and a choice of US, EU or UK data storage are all Enterprise features. A team that needs any of those is buying Enterprise, whatever its credit use. Lovable, by contrast, sells SSO on its Business plan from $50 a month and lets admins set per-member credit limits on Pro.

Base44 Enterprise pricing and what it adds

Base44 Enterprise is custom priced through sales, with custom credit volumes, invoice or ACH billing and a dedicated account team. Base44's enterprise docs list what the contract adds: single sign-on with your identity provider (including Microsoft Entra ID), enforced workspace SSO, SCIM user provisioning, IP allowlists, a choice of US, EU or UK data residency, publishing and visibility controls by role, a default monthly credit cap per member with individual overrides, workspace API keys for audit logs through a Monitoring API, connector controls, the option to switch off Superagents across the workspace, and embedding the builder inside your own product. Base44 also lists custom training, a dedicated point of contact and a support channel with guaranteed response times.

Base44 publishes no Enterprise price. If SSO is your only hard requirement, get a quote and set it against Lovable Business before you sign, because that is where the two products diverge most on cost.

Base44 discount options for annual plans, students and nonprofits

The largest Base44 discount anyone can get is annual billing, which takes 20% off every paid plan: Starter drops from $20 to $16 a month, Builder from $50 to $40, Pro from $100 to $80 and Elite from $200 to $160. On Elite that is $480 a year. Two cautions before you commit. Annual credits still reset every month and unused credits still expire, so a year up front buys a lower price, not a bigger pool. And Base44 publishes no volume or multi-workspace discount on its pricing page; anything beyond the listed plans goes through Enterprise sales.

Students, teachers and staff at accredited schools, including K-12 and US colleges with .edu addresses, get 50% off Starter or Builder after verifying a school email. On monthly billing the discount lasts up to 12 months, and on annual billing it covers the first year. It applies once per person, to personal subscriptions only, not to team workspace billing, and cannot be combined with a promo code. Nonprofit pricing is handled case by case through support.

When a ready-made AI agent costs less than a Base44 app

Many Base44 apps are internal tools that automate one recurring job: triaging support email, chasing invoices, enriching leads, routing documents. Building that takes an afternoon. Running it is where the meter keeps going, because every email, extraction and AI step comes out of the same integration pool, and the pool resets to zero every month.

If the job already exists as a product, a ready-made agent is often the cheaper path. Agents on AgentMarketplace start at $49 a month flat, connect to the tools you already use with permissions you can revoke, and do not bill per email or per AI call. Browse the agent catalog by the job before you size a Base44 plan around it, and keep Base44 for the app you are actually selling. If you are still choosing an app builder, our Lovable alternatives price comparison puts Base44 next to Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit and Cursor for a 10-person team, and the Replit pricing page covers the other workspace-priced option.

Frequently asked

Your questions about Base44 pricing

Is there a Base44 discount?

Yes, two. Annual billing takes 20% off every paid plan, so Builder costs $40 a month instead of $50 and Elite $160 instead of $200. Students, teachers and staff at accredited schools get 50% off Starter or Builder after verifying a school email. Base44 lists no volume discount; larger deals go through Enterprise sales.

How much does Base44 cost per month?

Base44 costs $16 a month on Starter, $40 on Builder, $80 on Pro and $160 on Elite when billed annually, or $20, $50, $100 and $200 billed monthly. Annual billing is 20% cheaper on every plan. Free is $0 with 25 message credits a month, and Enterprise is custom priced through sales.

Is Base44 worth paying for?

Base44 is worth paying for if you want a hosted app with a database, authentication and email built in, and your app runs mostly on the Automatic AI model. Builder at $40 a month billed annually is the practical starting plan, because it adds backend functions, GitHub sync and five times Starter's integration credits. Teams that need SSO or per-member limits should price Enterprise first.

What is the difference between Base44 message credits and integration credits?

Message credits pay for prompts to the AI builder while you create or change an app, at about 0.5 to 4 credits per change. Integration credits pay for built-in services your live app uses, such as sending an email (about 1 credit), running an LLM call (1 to 15 credits depending on the model) or answering through an in-app agent (about 3 credits and up).

Does Base44 charge per user?

No. Base44 prices the workspace, not seats. Everyone you invite shares the plan and its credit pool and does not need a paid plan of their own. Viewers use no credits. Per-member credit limits, the Admin role and SSO are only available on Enterprise.

Do Base44 credits roll over to the next month?

No. Message and integration credits reset monthly on your subscription date, and unused credits expire, including on annual plans. The only exception is upgrading from one monthly plan to a higher monthly plan mid-cycle, where unused credits carry over for one more cycle. Bonus and top-up credits never carry over.

Which Base44 plan includes GitHub integration?

GitHub integration starts on Builder, at $40 a month billed annually or $50 monthly, along with backend functions and AI model selection. Starter includes unlimited apps, in-app code edits and a custom domain, but not GitHub sync. Pro and Elite include everything in Builder.

Does Base44 have SSO?

Only on Enterprise. Base44 Enterprise adds single sign-on with your identity provider, including Microsoft Entra ID, plus SCIM provisioning, IP allowlists, data residency in the US, EU or UK and per-member credit caps. Enterprise is custom priced, so request a quote. Lovable sells SSO on its Business plan from $50 a month.

Does Base44 have a student discount?

Yes. Students, teachers and staff at accredited academic institutions get 50% off Starter or Builder after verifying a school email. It lasts up to 12 months on monthly billing or the first year on annual billing, applies once per person to personal subscriptions only, and cannot be combined with a promo code.

Is Base44 cheaper than Lovable?

At entry level, yes. Base44 Starter is $16 a month billed annually for 100 message credits, while Lovable Pro is $25 monthly or about $21 annually for 100 credits. Lovable credits roll over and Lovable sells SSO from $50 a month, while Base44 credits expire monthly and SSO needs Enterprise, so teams with uneven usage or SSO needs can end up paying less on Lovable.
