HubSpot Credits Pricing: HubSpot Customer Agent Cost, HubSpot AI Agents and Breeze Agents Rates per Action
HubSpot now bills its AI agents in credits, not seats. This page converts HubSpot's own rate sheet into dollars per action, shows what each plan actually covers, and prices Customer Agent and Prospecting Agent at the volumes a US support or sales team runs.

One HubSpot credit costs $0.01, and extra credits come in packs of 1,000 for $10 a month. Customer Agent uses 50 credits per resolved conversation ($0.50), Prospecting Agent 100 credits per recommended lead ($1.00), and a Breeze AI action in a workflow 10 credits ($0.10). Professional plans include 3,000 credits a month and Enterprise 5,000, enough for about 60 or 100 resolved conversations. Unused credits expire monthly.

The challenge
HubSpot prices its agents in a unit most buyers have never budgeted: a credit worth one cent, drawn from a single monthly pool that every AI feature shares. The included allowance sounds generous until you divide it by 50. A Service Hub Professional account resolves about 60 conversations before it pays anything extra, and an account that bought one capacity pack before September 16, 2026 can be moved to a permanently higher tier by a single busy month.
How AgentMarketplace handles it
Price HubSpot credits in three steps. First, count the actions you expect each month (resolved conversations, recommended leads, workflow AI actions) and multiply each by its rate on HubSpot's rate sheet. Second, subtract the allowance for your highest subscription tier, not the sum of your hubs. Third, multiply what is left by $0.01, then check whether you are on auto-upgrade or pay as you go, because that decides what a spike costs.
How much do HubSpot credits cost?
HubSpot credits cost $0.010 each. HubSpot sells them two ways: capacity packs of 1,000 credits for $10 a month, which raise your monthly limit for the rest of your contract, or pay as you go, where every credit over your limit is billed at the same one cent, invoiced monthly in arrears in increments of 10 credits, rounding down. There is no volume discount on the published price. A team that uses 200,000 extra credits a month pays $2,000, the same rate per credit as a team that uses 2,000.
What changes the bill is not the price of a credit but how many credits each action burns. HubSpot publishes those numbers in a rate sheet inside its Product and Services Catalog. We converted every line to dollars:
| Feature | Action that is charged | Credits | Cost per action | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Customer Agent | Resolve one conversation on a text channel | 50 | $0.50 | Generally available |
| Customer Agent | Hold one minute of voice conversation | 50 | $0.50 per minute | Beta |
| Prospecting Agent | Recommend outreach for one lead | 100 | $1.00 | Generally available |
| Data Agent | Answer one prompt for one record | 10 | $0.10 | Generally available |
| Content Agent | Generate one piece of content | 1,000 | $10.00 | Beta |
| Knowledge Base Agent | Generate one new knowledge base article | 200 | $2.00 | Beta |
| Nurture Agent | Personalize one email for one contact | 10 | $0.10 | Beta |
| Revenue Agent | Start payment collection outreach for one invoice | 500 | $5.00 | Beta |
| Custom agents and Work agents | One action unit | 1 | $0.01 per unit | Beta |
| Workflows | Execute one AI action in a workflow | 10 | $0.10 | Generally available |
| Buyer intent | Monitor one company for one month | 10 | $0.10 per company per month | Generally available |
| Buyer intent | Monitor one company for one custom signal for one month | 50 | $0.50 per company per month | Beta |
| Data Studio | Use a dataset in a workflow, segment, sync or export | 25, 75 or 200 | $0.25 to $2.00 per use, by row count | Beta |
Two lines in that catalog matter more than they look. HubSpot says beta features "may consume credits in the future, and credit rates may change as features evolve," and that it aims to give 30 days notice before a beta starts charging. And custom agents are metered in "action units" whose count depends on your prompts, so the only way to know what a custom agent costs is to test it during setup and read HubSpot's estimate.
How many HubSpot credits are included in each plan?
Every paid seat-based HubSpot plan includes a monthly credit allowance. The allowance follows your single highest subscription tier. HubSpot's example: an account with Marketing Hub Professional and Sales Hub Enterprise gets the Enterprise allowance, not the two added together.
| Your highest subscription | Included credits per month | Worth at $0.01 | Customer Agent resolutions it covers | Prospecting Agent leads it covers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter (any hub, or Smart CRM) | 500 | $5 | None: Customer Agent needs Professional or Enterprise | None: Prospecting Agent needs Professional or Enterprise |
| Professional (Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, Revenue Hub or Smart CRM) | 3,000 | $30 | 60 | 30 |
| Enterprise (same hubs) | 5,000 | $50 | 100 | 50 |
| Data Hub or Customer Platform Professional | 5,000 | $50 | 100 | 50 |
| Data Hub or Customer Platform Enterprise | 10,000 | $100 | 200 | 100 |
Three rules decide whether the allowance is worth anything to you. Credits reset every month on your usage-period start date and unused credits expire, so a quiet August does not pay for a busy November. Only users on paid seats (Core, Sales, Service and Revenue Seats, plus Partner Seats) can spend credits; free and view-only users cannot. And the allowance is one shared pool: a workflow that runs a Breeze AI action on every new contact draws from the same 3,000 credits your Customer Agent needs.
For a sense of scale, 3,000 credits is about two busy days of support for a small ecommerce brand. If your team resolves 30 chats a day with Customer Agent, the Professional allowance is gone by the morning of day three.
HubSpot Customer Agent pricing at real volumes
HubSpot moved Customer Agent to outcome-based pricing on April 14, 2026. In HubSpot's words, the price went "from $1.00 per conversation to $0.50 per resolved conversation," paid as 50 credits per resolution. You pay when the agent resolves the conversation, not when it starts one, so a chat the agent hands to your team does not draw 50 credits.
Customer Agent is available on Professional and Enterprise plans, and HubSpot offers a free 28-day trial. On top of the credits, you still need the seats: Service Hub Professional lists at $100 per seat a month and Service Hub Enterprise at $150 per seat a month, billed annually, with a one-time $3,500 onboarding fee on Enterprise.
| Resolved conversations per month | Credits needed | Extra cost on Professional (3,000 included) | Extra cost on Enterprise (5,000 included) | Same volume on Fin at $0.99 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | 25,000 | $220 | $200 | $495 |
| 1,000 | 50,000 | $470 | $450 | $990 |
| 2,000 | 100,000 | $970 | $950 | $1,980 |
| 5,000 | 250,000 | $2,470 | $2,450 | $4,950 |
| 10,000 | 500,000 | $4,970 | $4,950 | $9,900 |
The extra cost assumes Customer Agent is the only feature spending credits. It excludes seat licenses and any credits your workflows or other agents use.
Per resolution, Customer Agent is roughly half the price of the other published outcome rates. Fin charges $0.99 per outcome with a 50 outcome monthly minimum, and Salesforce lists Agentforce at $2 per conversation. The catch is that Fin works on top of Zendesk, Salesforce or any other help desk, while Customer Agent only runs inside HubSpot, so the cheaper rate assumes you already pay for HubSpot seats. For a team already on Service Hub Professional, the $0.50 rate is hard to beat. For a team on another help desk, moving to HubSpot to get it costs far more than the difference. We compare these rates side by side on our Fin AI agent pricing page and across twelve vendors on AI agent platforms compared.
What counts as a resolved conversation?
HubSpot charges 50 credits when Customer Agent resolves a conversation on a text-based channel such as chat, email or a form. HubSpot says the agent "escalates to your team when needed," and its outcome pricing means a conversation that ends up with a human is not billed as a resolution. Ask HubSpot how a conversation that the customer simply abandons is classified in your account, because that choice moves your resolution count more than any rate change.
How much does HubSpot Customer Agent cost on the phone?
Voice is billed differently. The rate sheet lists Customer Agent at 50 credits per minute of voice conversation, which is $0.50 a minute, and the feature is still in beta. A four minute call costs $2.00, so 1,000 such calls a month cost $2,000. That is three to six times what dedicated voice platforms charge for an all-in US minute: we measured about $0.09 to $0.17 on common models on Retell AI and $0.12 to $0.14 on Bland. If phone support is the bulk of your volume, price the voice line separately.
HubSpot Prospecting Agent pricing
Prospecting Agent also moved to outcome pricing on April 14, 2026. It used to carry a recurring monthly charge for every contact enrolled; it now costs 100 credits, or $1.00, for each lead it recommends for outreach. HubSpot's framing is that you "pay when a prospect gets qualified and handed to your team."
| Leads recommended per month | Credits needed | Extra cost on Sales Hub Professional (3,000 included) | Extra cost on Enterprise (5,000 included) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 10,000 | $70 | $50 |
| 300 | 30,000 | $270 | $250 |
| 1,000 | 100,000 | $970 | $950 |
| 3,000 | 300,000 | $2,970 | $2,950 |
Sales Hub Professional seats list at $100 a month each with a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise seats at $150 a month with $3,500 onboarding. A four person SDR team on Professional that lets the agent recommend 300 leads a month pays $400 in seats plus $270 in credits, about $670 a month, before any other AI feature touches the pool.
The dollar a lead is only cheap if the lead is good. The useful number to track is cost per booked meeting: if one in twenty recommended leads books, the agent costs $20 a meeting in credits. Compare that with the cost of the rep's time spent researching the same accounts by hand.
HubSpot credits overage: auto-upgrade vs pay as you go
The biggest surprise in HubSpot credits is not a rate. It is what happens when you run out. HubSpot's billing documentation sets out three states:
- No capacity pack bought. When the included credits are used up, every credit-based feature pauses until the next reset date. Customer Agent stops answering. Pay as you go is not available until you buy at least one pack.
- Auto-upgrade. If you exceed your limit, HubSpot adds a higher capacity pack "for the rest of your commitment term." You can only downgrade at the end of the contract. This is the default for accounts that bought extra credits before September 16, 2026.
- Pay as you go. Credits over your limit are billed at $0.01 each for that month only, and your limit returns to normal on the reset date. This is the default for credits bought on or after September 16, 2026.
HubSpot's own example of auto-upgrade: an Enterprise account with 5,000 included credits and one 1,000 credit pack uses 6,500 credits in a month, so a second pack is added and the limit becomes 7,000 "for the remainder of your contract."
| Scenario: one holiday month needs 20,000 extra credits, 10 months left on an annual term | Auto-upgrade | Pay as you go |
|---|---|---|
| Cost in the spike month | $200 (20 packs added) | $200 |
| Cost in each of the next 9 months | $200, because the packs stay | $0 unless you exceed again |
| Total over the term | $2,000 | $200 |
If your account bought credits before September 16, 2026, check the overage setting under Account and Billing, HubSpot Credits tab, today. Switching takes effect immediately if you have not used credits in the current period, otherwise at the next one. HubSpot also sets an account spend limit at 50% above your total monthly credits once you buy a pack, and emails Super Admins and Billing Admins at 75%, 85% and 90% of it. You can set tighter limits per tool, which is the simplest way to stop one runaway workflow from starving Customer Agent.
Where HubSpot credits run out fastest
HubSpot warns that "some automated, bulk, and high-volume features consume credits at a faster rate." In practice the fastest drains are the ones that run on records rather than on conversations:
| Bulk job | How the credits add up | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Data Agent answers one question across 5,000 company records | 10 credits x 5,000 | $500, once |
| A workflow runs one Breeze AI action on 10,000 new contacts a month | 10 credits x 10,000 | $1,000 a month |
| Buyer intent monitoring on 2,000 target accounts | 10 credits x 2,000, recurring | $200 a month |
| Nurture Agent personalizes a 20,000 contact email | 10 credits x 20,000 | $2,000 per send |
| Content Agent drafts 30 pieces a month | 1,000 credits x 30 | $300 a month |
None of these are unreasonable prices for the work, but each one is larger than the entire Professional allowance, and they all draw from the same pool as Customer Agent. Before switching on a bulk feature, run it on a small segment, read the credits used in the HubSpot Credits tab, and multiply.
Are HubSpot credits worth it?
For teams that already run their CRM and help desk in HubSpot, yes, mostly. Customer Agent at $0.50 per resolved conversation is the lowest published outcome rate we have found from a major vendor, and the agent works from data that is already in your portal. HubSpot reports Customer Agent resolving 65% of conversations across more than 8,000 customers who have activated it; that is HubSpot's own figure, so measure your own resolution rate in the 28-day trial before you forecast with it.
Credits are a weaker deal in three cases. First, when you are not on HubSpot: the agents do not run outside it, and seats start at $100 a month on Professional. Second, when the work is steady and predictable, because a flat price is easier to budget than a pool that resets monthly and can auto-upgrade. Third, when the job is narrow, like answering order status questions, drafting refund decisions or sourcing leads for one segment, where a focused agent does the task without buying into a platform.
That third case is what our catalog is for. It lists ready-made agents with a flat monthly price and the permissions each one needs shown before you deploy, including a Pipeline Prospector that finds and enriches leads and writes them to HubSpot, and support agents that answer from your help docs. See which ones connect to your CRM on AI agents for HubSpot, or compare plans on our pricing page.
How to budget HubSpot credits for next year
A HubSpot credits budget that survives finance review has five lines:
- Resolutions. Monthly support conversations times the resolution rate you measured in the trial, times 50 credits.
- Leads. Leads you want recommended each month times 100 credits.
- Automation. Workflow AI actions per month times 10 credits, counted from enrollment volume, not from the number of workflows.
- Recurring monitors. Companies under intent monitoring times 10 (or 50 per custom signal), charged every month.
- Headroom. Your busiest month, not your average, because unused credits never roll over and spikes are billed.
Subtract your included allowance, divide the rest by 1,000 and round up to get capacity packs. Buy packs for your steady volume and leave pay as you go on for the peaks. At $10 a pack, a team that resolves 2,000 conversations and recommends 300 leads a month on Professional needs about 127 packs, or $1,270 a month, on top of seats.
Frequently asked
HubSpot credits pricing: your questions answered
How much is one HubSpot credit?
One HubSpot credit costs $0.010. You can buy capacity packs of 1,000 credits for $10 a month for the rest of your term, or use pay as you go, which bills each credit over your limit at $0.01, monthly in arrears, in increments of 10 credits.
How many credits does HubSpot Customer Agent use?
Customer Agent uses 50 credits, or $0.50, per resolved conversation on text channels such as chat, email and forms. Voice conversations are billed at 50 credits per minute while the feature is in beta. Before April 14, 2026 it cost $1.00 per conversation.
How many HubSpot credits are included in Professional?
Professional editions of Marketing, Sales, Service, Content and Revenue Hub and Smart CRM include 3,000 credits a month, Enterprise 5,000 and Starter 500. Data Hub and Customer Platform include 5,000 on Professional and 10,000 on Enterprise. You get the allowance of your highest tier only.
Do unused HubSpot credits roll over?
No. HubSpot credits reset every month on your usage-period start date, and unused credits expire at the end of each period. Budget for your busiest month rather than an average.
What happens when you run out of HubSpot credits?
If you have not bought a capacity pack, credit-based features such as Customer Agent pause until your next reset date. If you have, extra usage either auto-upgrades your pack level for the rest of your term or is billed pay as you go at $0.01 per credit, depending on your setting.
How much does HubSpot Prospecting Agent cost?
Prospecting Agent costs 100 credits, or $1.00, per lead it recommends for outreach. It replaced a recurring monthly charge per enrolled contact on April 14, 2026. It requires Sales Hub or a bundle on Professional or Enterprise.
Is HubSpot Customer Agent cheaper than Intercom Fin?
Per resolution, yes: $0.50 against Fin's $0.99 per outcome. But Customer Agent only runs inside HubSpot and needs Professional or Enterprise seats, while Fin works with any help desk. For a team already on Service Hub Professional, HubSpot is cheaper; for a team on Zendesk, usually not.
Can I cancel HubSpot credit capacity packs?
Only at the end of your contract term. HubSpot says capacity packs can be canceled or downgraded at the end of your commitment term by contacting support before your renewal date, which is why the auto-upgrade setting matters.
Do HubSpot AI agents have a free trial?
Yes. HubSpot offers a free 28-day trial of Customer Agent and Prospecting Agent for Professional and Enterprise customers. Use it to measure your real resolution rate and lead volume before buying capacity packs.
Which HubSpot features use credits?
Customer Agent, Prospecting Agent, Data Agent, Breeze AI actions in workflows, buyer intent monitoring and Data Studio syncs use credits, plus beta agents for content, knowledge base articles, nurture emails, invoices and custom agents. HubSpot lists every rate in its Product and Services Catalog.
