Open the full listing →The short answer: the best Lindy AI alternative depends on why the Lindy bill hurts. If it is the per-user charge, Gumloop ($37 a month) and Tasklet ($25 a month) sell one plan with unlimited team members. If it is credits, compare what each vendor's credit actually buys. If the work is one shared process rather than everyone's personal assistant, a flat plan at $288 a year costs a sixth of what five Lindy users pay.
Lindy is good software, and most people who look for alternatives are not unhappy with what it does. They are unhappy with how the bill scales. Its pricing page states it plainly: "Every active user in your workspace is billed, from $29.99 a month for 3,000 credits each." We read lindy.ai/pricing, gumloop.com/pricing, tasklet.ai/pricing and shortwave.com/pricing on October 21, 2026, and priced the same five-person team on each. Carly and Marblism come from their pricing pages read on October 19 and October 14, and n8n from n8n.io read on September 11.
What Lindy costs today
Lindy has three plans. Free gives you $50 in credits that last seven days, with no card. Team starts at $29.99 a month per active user for 3,000 credits each, pooled across the workspace, and climbs in steps: 5,000 credits for $49.99, 15,000 for $99.99, 45,000 for $299.99, up to 1,750,000 for $9,999.50. Top-ups cost $10 per 1,000 credits. Enterprise adds HIPAA with a signed BAA, SSO and SCIM and audit logs, and is quoted.
The entry rate works out to one cent per credit, the same as the top-up rate, so there is no volume discount until the larger steps. For a team the important part is the active-user rule. Five people who each touch Lindy cost $149.95 a month, or $1,799.40 a year, before anyone buys more credits. Ten cost $3,598.80, and 25 cost $8,997.
Lindy AI alternatives compared on price
These six tools come up most often when teams replace Lindy. They do not all do the same job, so the last column says what you are actually buying.
| Tool | Entry price | How it bills a team | 5 people for a year | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lindy Team | $29.99 per active user a month | Per active user, 3,000 credits each, pooled | $1,799.40 | Personal AI assistants for every person |
| Gumloop Pro | $37 a month | One plan, unlimited seats, 20,000 credits | $444 | Building your own agents and workflows |
| Tasklet Starter | $25 a month | One plan, unlimited members, 10,000 credits | $300 | Agents described in plain English |
| n8n Cloud Starter | 20 EUR a month annual (about $23) | Per workflow execution, 2,500 a month | About $279 | Technical teams that want full control |
| Carly Organization | $35 per seat a month | Per seat, pooled credits | $2,100 | An executive assistant per person |
| Marblism | $24 a month yearly | One plan, unlimited team members, hours of work | $288 | A small business that wants a set of AI employees |
| AgentMarketplace Starter | $24 a month yearly, $49 monthly | Per plan, up to 3 agents, no seat charge | $288 | Ready-made agents for one team process |
The n8n figure converts euros at the rate we used on our n8n pricing page ($1.1616 on September 10, 2026), so it moves with the exchange rate. Everything else is in US dollars as the vendor prints it.
Gumloop, the closest Lindy alternative for building agents
Gumloop is the most direct swap if your team builds its own agents in Lindy. Pro starts at $37 a month with a 14-day trial, unlimited agents, 35-plus models, unlimited seats and teams, and 20,000 credits a month (7,400 plus 12,600 bonus). Gumloop indexes a credit at $0.005 and bills model tokens and paid tool calls at the providers' list price, plus an 8% orchestration fee.
Two details matter before you switch. Unused credits do not roll over, and when you pass 20,000 mid-month your agents stop until you turn on pay as you go at $0.005 a credit, which is off by default. If you bring your own model API key, token costs drop out of your credits but the orchestration fee rises to 16% of what the task would have cost. For five people, Gumloop's base is $444 a year against Lindy's $1,799.40.
Tasklet, the cheapest plan with unlimited members
Tasklet (the sister product of the Shortwave email client) lets you describe an agent in plain English and connects to 3,000-plus apps. Starter is $25 a month for 10,000 credits, Pro $100 for 40,000, and larger pools run up to 4,000,000 credits for $10,000 a month. The whole ladder works out to $0.0025 a credit, and one-time top-ups cost $5 per 1,600 credits with a $25 minimum, valid for a year. Tasklet says you can add unlimited team members at no extra cost and share one credit pool.
If your team also lives in Gmail, Tasklet pairs with Shortwave, which is priced per seat. We break down that bill on Shortwave pricing, including the rule that every person on a Shortwave team must be on the same plan.
n8n, for teams that want to own the workflow
n8n is the option for a technical team that wants every step visible and is happy to build. Cloud Starter is 24 EUR a month (20 EUR on annual billing) for 2,500 workflow executions, Pro 60 EUR (50 EUR annual) for 10,000, and the Business plan is self-hosted from 800 EUR a month. You pay per execution, not per step, and you bring your own model keys. It is the cheapest line in the table and the most work to run. Our n8n alternatives comparison covers the tradeoff in more depth.
Carly and Marblism, if you used Lindy as an assistant
Many teams use Lindy less as an agent builder and more as a personal assistant for email and meetings. If that is you, Carly is the like-for-like replacement: $35 a month for one person with 200 credits, or $35 a seat on Organization, and it sends email and books meetings on its own. Its credit add-ons run from $30 to $1,450 a month, which we price on Carly AI pricing. Marblism goes the other way, with one plan from $24 a month on yearly billing that covers the whole team and a set of AI employees for jobs like the inbox and social media, metered in hours of work; see Marblism pricing.
Why credits do not compare across vendors
It is tempting to line up the per-credit prices: Lindy one cent, Gumloop half a cent, Tasklet a quarter of a cent. That comparison does not hold, because each vendor defines a credit differently. Gumloop's credit is a pass-through of model and API cost at list price, Tasklet's is its own unit, and Lindy's covers whatever its agent does in a step. The honest test is to run the same workflow on each trial for a week and read the meter.
What you can compare cleanly is the seat rule, because it decides how the bill grows. Lindy and Carly grow with every person. Gumloop, Tasklet, n8n, Marblism and our plans grow with the work.
Which Lindy alternative should you pick?
- You build custom agents and the per-user bill is the problem: Gumloop or Tasklet. Same kind of building, one plan for the whole team.
- You want full control and have someone technical: n8n, at the lowest list price and the highest setup effort.
- You used Lindy as a personal assistant: Carly for one person, Marblism for a small team that wants a set of AI employees.
- Your Lindy agents did outbound sales: a dedicated tool usually costs less per meeting booked. If the job is cold email that finds and verifies decision makers before it writes the sequence, buy that rather than building it from credits.
- The work is one team process, not everyone's assistant: a ready-made agent on a flat plan.
That last case is what we sell. Our Inbox Triage agent sorts a shared inbox, drafts replies for one-click send and routes the rest to the right person in Slack, the Meeting Scribe turns calls into notes and follow-ups, and both are ready to deploy without building anything. The Starter plan is $49 a month or $288 a year for up to 3 agents, with the whole team invited at no seat charge. If you want to build your own agents from scratch, Gumloop or Tasklet will suit you better. For a wider view of the builders, see our AI agent platforms comparison, and compare our plans on the pricing page.
