Open the full listing →The short answer: the best Gumloop alternative depends on what bothers you about Gumloop. If it is the bill, Activepieces ($20 a month for up to 5 users) and Tasklet ($25 a month for unlimited members) are cheaper team plans. If it is agents stopping at the credit cap, pick a tool whose overage you can predict. If nobody on the team wants to build workflows at all, a ready-made agent on a flat plan costs $288 a year.
Gumloop is a capable agent builder, and its pricing is more transparent than most. Pro starts at $37 a month with unlimited seats and 20,000 credits, which Gumloop splits as 7,400 credits plus 12,600 bonus credits. A credit is indexed at $0.005, and every task bills at the list cost of the tokens, compute and paid API calls it used, plus an 8% orchestration fee. We read gumloop.com/pricing, tasklet.ai/pricing, activepieces.com/pricing, zapier.com/pricing, n8n.io/pricing and lindy.ai/pricing on October 24, 2026, and priced the same five-person team on each.
Gumloop alternatives compared on price for a 5-person team
| Tool and plan | Entry price | Who it bills | Included usage | When usage runs out | 5 people for a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gumloop Pro | $37 a month | Unlimited seats | 20,000 credits | Agents stop until you enable pay as you go at $0.005 a credit | $444 |
| Tasklet Starter | $25 a month | Unlimited members, one pool | 10,000 credits plus 600 bonus on days you log in | Requests and automations pause, emails at 80%, 95% and 100% | $300 |
| Activepieces Plus | $20 a month flat | Up to 5 users | 10,000 credits | Pay as you go at $0.007 a credit | $240 |
| n8n Cloud Starter | 20 EUR a month on annual billing | Unlimited users | 2,500 workflow executions | Plan limit on executions | 240 EUR |
| Zapier Team | From $69 a month | 25 users | Task tier you choose | Task limit by tier | From $828 |
| Lindy Team | $29.99 per active user a month | Every active user | 3,000 credits per user, pooled | Lindy pauses and tells you | $1,799.40 |
| AgentMarketplace Starter | $24 a month yearly, $49 monthly | Whole team, no seat charge | Up to 3 ready-made agents | Flat plan | $288 |
The yearly figures are our calculations on each vendor's list price. Zapier's Team plan starts at $69 a month with 25 users, and its price rises with the task tier you pick. n8n prices in euros, so the dollar cost moves with the exchange rate; our n8n pricing page converts every plan to US dollars.
What Gumloop actually charges, and why teams look elsewhere
Three rules decide a Gumloop bill. First, the 20,000 Pro credits are a monthly grant that resets each billing period and does not roll over. Second, when you pass 20,000 mid-month, Gumloop says "your agents will stop working" until you enable pay as you go, which is not on by default. Third, the orchestration fee is charged on the full list cost of each task, and it doubles from 8% to 16% if you bring your own model API keys.
The bring-your-own-key rule is the one that surprises people. With your own keys, the credits that would have paid for tokens drop to zero, but the 16% fee is still worked out on what the task would have cost without them. So 20,000 credits ($100 at the $0.005 index) cover the fee on roughly $625 of model usage, and you pay the model provider for that usage on top. That can still be cheaper for heavy users, but it moves most of the spend to a second invoice.
None of this is hidden, which is to Gumloop's credit. The reasons teams shop around are usually simpler: a workflow that stopped mid-month at the cap, a bill that is hard to forecast when models and tools vary per task, or a team that wants self-hosting for sensitive data.
Tasklet, the closest Gumloop alternative for a team
Tasklet is the nearest like-for-like swap. You describe an agent, connect tools from thousands of integrations, MCP servers and APIs, and it runs on triggers and schedules. Like Gumloop it bills the organization rather than the person, so the whole team shares one pool. Starter is $25 a month for 10,000 credits, Pro $100 for 40,000, and Custom any amount up to $10,000 a month, all at a flat $0.0025 a credit.
Two details make it easier to budget than Gumloop. Paid plans add 600 bonus credits on days you log in, which over 22 working days is more than Starter's own allowance. And each thread has a daily credit limit (4,000 by default) that pauses one runaway automation instead of the whole account. The weak point is the refund: Tasklet refunds only within 14 days and only up to $250. The full rate card, ladder and intelligence levels are on our Tasklet pricing page.
Activepieces, the cheapest plan for a small team
Activepieces Plus is $20 a month flat for up to 5 users and 10,000 credits (our Activepieces pricing page prices its AI steps), then pay as you go at $0.007 a credit. The Team plan is $200 a month flat for 25 users and 50,000 credits, with SSO and email support. Annual billing saves two months on both. It also runs on your own servers on every plan, which answers the self-hosting reason for leaving Gumloop without moving to a more technical tool.
Two limits to know. Plus caps the team at 5 users, so a sixth person means the $200 Team plan. And Activepieces says its SOC 2 program is in progress rather than certified, which matters if your security review asks for the report.
n8n and Zapier, for teams that think in workflows
n8n charges per workflow execution, however many steps a run contains, with unlimited users on every plan. Cloud Starter is 20 EUR a month on annual billing for 2,500 executions and Pro 50 EUR for 10,000, and a self-hosted Community Edition is published on GitHub for teams that will run it themselves. It is the most control for the least money and the most setup work. Our n8n alternatives comparison goes deeper on that tradeoff. If you are choosing between the two directly, read Gumloop vs n8n pricing.
Zapier is the opposite end: 9,000-plus app connections and the least setup, priced by tasks. Professional starts at $19.99 a month for one seat and Team at $69 a month for 25 users, and AI steps, code and the SDK now follow the same task-based pricing. For a team replacing a handful of Gumloop flows that mostly move data between apps, it is often the simplest landing spot.
Lindy, if your Gumloop agents were really assistants
Some teams used Gumloop mostly for email, meetings and follow-ups. Lindy is built for that, but it bills every active user from $29.99 a month for 3,000 credits each, so five people cost $1,799.40 a year, four times Gumloop Pro. It only makes sense when each person gets real daily value from a personal assistant. We price six replacements for that case in Lindy AI alternatives.
One name to drop from older roundups: Relay.app, which several Gumloop comparison lists still recommend, shut down in September 2026. Its site now says all accounts, workflows and run history have been permanently deleted.
Which Gumloop alternative should you pick?
- You build agents and want the same model for less: Tasklet, with unlimited members and a per-thread daily limit.
- You are 5 people or fewer and want the lowest bill, or need self-hosting: Activepieces Plus.
- Someone technical owns automation: n8n, priced per execution.
- Your flows mostly move data between apps: Zapier.
- Your Gumloop flows did competitor research: a dedicated tool is usually cheaper than running scrapes on credits. If the job was to pull your competitors' live ads from the big ad networks, buy that instead of building it.
- Nobody wants to build anything: a ready-made agent on a flat plan.
That last case is what we sell. Every Gumloop alternative above still hands you a builder and a meter, and the result depends on how well someone writes and tunes the workflow. Our Workflow Runner automates repetitive operations steps across Slack, Notion and Zapier, the Inbox Triage agent sorts a shared inbox and drafts replies, and the Data Digger answers questions from your data, all ready to deploy. The Starter plan is $49 a month or $288 a year for up to 3 agents, with the whole team invited at no seat charge. If you do want to build, start with Tasklet or Activepieces. Gumloop alternatives FAQ
What is the best alternative to Gumloop?
For building your own agents on one team plan, Tasklet is the closest alternative at $25 a month with unlimited members. Activepieces is cheaper at $20 a month for up to 5 users, n8n suits technical teams that want to own every step, and a flat ready-made agent plan suits teams that do not want to build at all.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Gumloop?
Yes. Gumloop Pro costs $444 a year. Activepieces Plus costs $240 a year for up to 5 users, Tasklet Starter $300 a year for unlimited members, n8n Starter 240 EUR a year on annual billing, and our Starter plan $288 a year for up to 3 ready-made agents.
How much does Gumloop cost?
Gumloop Pro starts at $37 a month for 20,000 credits (7,400 plus 12,600 bonus), with unlimited seats and a 14-day free trial. Credits are indexed at $0.005, and Gumloop adds an 8% orchestration fee, or 16% when you bring your own model keys. Enterprise is custom.
What happens when Gumloop runs out of credits?
Gumloop agents stop working when the monthly 20,000 credits are used, and you are prompted to enable pay as you go, which is off by default. Once enabled, extra usage bills at $0.005 a credit. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
