ClickUp Brain is priced per member: Brain AI is $9 per user a month and Everything AI (the agentic tier) is $28 per user a month. The catch that surprises most teams is that ClickUp bills the add-on on every paid Member seat in the workspace, not only the people who use AI. So a 30-seat workspace pays for 30 seats of Brain even if five people touch it, which is why the add-on can nearly double a mid-size ClickUp bill. How much does ClickUp Brain AI cost?

ClickUp Brain AI costs $9 per user per month and Everything AI costs $28, as listed on clickup.com/pricing (ClickUp says yearly billing saves up to 20%). Both are add-ons to a paid ClickUp plan, and the plan itself is $7 per user on Unlimited or $12 on Business, billed yearly ($10 and $19 month to month). So the real per-user cost on Business is $21 with Brain AI and $40 with Everything AI.

Read across the 30-member row and the add-on is the bigger number: Everything AI costs more than twice the Business plan it sits on.

The two Brain tiers

Brain MAX is a standalone desktop app that searches across ClickUp, Google Drive, GitHub, and OneDrive.

Both sit on top of a paid ClickUp plan, so the AI cost is in addition to your per-seat plan fee, not a replacement for it.

The per-seat catch

This is the detail that changes the math. When you enable Brain, ClickUp charges it across every Member seat in the workspace, not just the handful of people who actually use AI. If you have 30 members and turn on Brain AI at $9, that is $270 a month regardless of how many people open the assistant. How ClickUp AI Super Credits work

Each seat adds credits to a pool shared across the whole workspace: 1,500 a month per Brain AI seat and 5,000 per Everything AI seat. Credits power Super Agents, AI Fields, automations, and image generation, and ClickUp says usage varies with task complexity. When the pool runs dry you buy more at $10 per 10,000 credits, a tenth of a cent each. When ClickUp Brain is worth it

Brain earns its keep when most of your team works inside ClickUp and would genuinely use the assistant, the AI writing, and enterprise search. If nearly everyone benefits, paying per seat is fair, because you are not subsidizing idle seats. Small, AI-forward teams tend to get the most value: the per-seat cost is contained, and native search across tasks and docs is a real time-saver. When it gets hard to justify

Brain gets expensive on larger or mixed workspaces where only some people use AI, because you pay for every Member seat anyway.
